Upgrading, Downgrading, and Managing Your Subscription

You can change your plan, add extra feeds, or manage your billing at any time from the Billing page in your Alterify dashboard.


How to Access Billing

  1. Click the settings icon (gear) in the top right of your dashboard.
  2. Select Billing.

This shows your current plan, usage, and available plan options.


Upgrading Your Plan

  1. On the Billing page, find the plan you want to upgrade to.
  2. Choose Monthly or Annual billing (annual saves 20%).
  3. Click the plan to start checkout.
  4. Complete payment through Stripe.

Your new limits take effect immediately. If you had feeds that were paused due to plan limits, they'll be automatically re-enabled (oldest first) up to your new feed limit.


Switching Between Paid Plans

Already on a paid plan and want to switch to a different one? The process is the same — select the new plan from the Billing page. Changes to note:

  • Prorated billing — You'll receive credit for the unused portion of your current plan and be charged the new rate.
  • Extra feeds reset — If you have extra feeds, they're removed when switching plans. You can re-add them after the switch.
  • Schedule adjustment — If your new plan has a higher minimum sync frequency (e.g., moving from Grow to Seed), any schedules below the new minimum are automatically adjusted.


Downgrading to Free

You can downgrade to the Free plan at any time. Here's what happens:

  • Your Stripe subscription is cancelled. No further charges.
  • Limits drop to Free plan levels: 200 SKUs, 1 feed, daily sync only.
  • Excess feeds are paused. If you have more than 1 feed, the most recently created feeds are disabled first. They stop syncing but no data or settings are deleted.
  • Scheduling is disabled. Any active schedules are paused. You can still run manual syncs.
  • Extra feeds are removed.
Important: Paused feeds are not deleted. If you upgrade again later, your feeds and their settings are still there and will be re-enabled automatically.


Adding Extra Feeds

If you need more sync profiles than your plan includes, you can purchase extra feeds:

  1. Go to the Billing page.
  2. Find the Extra Feeds section.
  3. Set the number of extra feeds you want.
  4. Confirm the change.

Pricing per extra feed depends on your plan:

Extra feeds are not available on the Free plan. Changes are prorated on your next billing cycle.


Reducing Extra Feeds

If you reduce the number of extra feeds, any excess profiles beyond your new total limit are paused (most recently created first). No data is deleted — paused feeds can be re-enabled by adding feeds back or upgrading.

Managing Payment Details

To update your credit card, view invoices, or manage your payment method, click the Billing Portal link on the Billing page. This opens Stripe's secure billing portal where you can:

  • Update your payment method
  • View and download past invoices
  • Review upcoming charges


What Happens When Your Trial Ends

If you don't pick a paid plan during your 7-day trial, you're automatically moved to the Free plan. Your profiles and settings are preserved, but limits are reduced to 200 SKUs and 1 feed. You can upgrade to a paid plan at any time to restore your previous limits.
